The newly-elected flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has empathized with the suffering masses in the country.
According to him, he shares the concerns of the many Ghanaians with living with difficulties but assured he will remedy the situation when giving the nod to lead the nation.
"The cost of living has increased dramatically and Ghanaians are feeling the pinch. I have seen the sacrifices of Ghanaians are making and the hardships many Ghanaians are going through and I am as concerned as my fellow countrymen and women", Dr. Bawumia commiserated with Ghanaians.
He however shared his vision to improving the living conditions, stating "my vision is to build an inclusive, food self-sufficient, data driven and systems based nation that will fully participate in the global digital revolution to solve our problems and also usher in a golden age of benefits from our natural resources".
"I have my own vision and my own priorities. Given the opportunity by you the people of Ghana to lead, I shall govern as my own man with guidance from God Almighty", he assured.
Dr. Bawumia also seized the moment to thank all Ghanaians for giving him the opportunity to lead as Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
"Ghana has given me everything, every opportunity and grace. I have dedicated my life to give back, and to serve this wonderful country to the best of my ability, with every breath in my body."
The Vice President gave these remarks at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 4, while delivering a speech after winning the New Patriotic Party's flagbearer slot.

When l hear this guy talk like this l feel like throwing up! Yes,for 7 damn years the only thing you were able to do is to be concerned, abi? Lol. Not only is he incompetent he is also an ediot and because of that he thinks Ghanaians are ediots like him. We didn't vote for for you to be concerned but to work. You want Ghanaians to vote for you so you will be "concerned" for another 4 years? Mr Concern,we no get your time jor!
Lies and pretence personified! If you were truly concerned, you won't spend the amounts of money you used to buy delegate's conscience. Those monies could build 20 state of the art factories that will employ people and influence the economy positively. In any case, we are aware the the economies collapse is a result of deliberate manipulation
You are right if not for the semi-illiterate of Ghanainas, I swear Akuffo Addo and Bawumia will never be president of this country. With this their lies and incompetence apuuu, which country will they be allowed to manage. Maham is coming, just accept it pronto
Dear Bawumia, What I have learnt from Ken’s numbers at the just ended elections is that do not ignore populism and the Trump factor in election campaign. Of course you have good intentions for Ghana, but you are miles ahead in your vision for Ghana and the majority of Ghanaians who are semi-literates do not understand you. Please go down to their level engage in populism or hire people to do this for. Use social media widely to do populism. That is the language the people understand. Do whatever you can to save Ghana from Mahama. Thanks for your time. Best regards Kweku the researcher
It is possible if your excellency the vice president stick to telling the people of Ghana his vision and not resort to attacking former president Mahama. The vice president should do what he does best by articulating his ideas with database with minimal attacks because he the vice president is in government.
