Dennis Miracles, Spokesperson for Dr. Bawumia's campaign team, has shot back a reply to Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central legislator and presidential aspirant, and his team over their $800 million claim against his boss, the Vice President of Ghana.
Kennedy Agyapong alleges that an aspirant offered him $800 million to quit his presidential ambition; although he didn't specify who the person is, the claim is however associated with the Vice President who is thought to be Ken's main competitor.
Dennis Miracles, joining the Thursday panel of Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo", questioned the logic that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would offer Kennedy Agyapong such whopping amount of money to step down from the impending flagbearer contest.
Miracles questioned; "Which bank even has that kind of money? Do you how much money we were given initially when we went to beg the IMF? It was 600 million dollars and that's what has since stabilized our economy . . . the country doesn't even have 800 million dollars; we had to plead for it. So, who is that person who is going to give you such money?"
He believes the Assin Central legislator didn't think through before making such assertion.
"He didn't calculate it well. When he was making the claim, that part missed him. In fact, I believe he regretted it after saying it. If he had even made it 80 million, it (his agenda) may have succeeded," he sarcastically stated while debunking the claims.

Well said but some people were tempted to believe because within the same regime ONE MILLION DOLLARS was stolen from a politician's bedroom unnoticed . This tells you how rich Ghana politics is . And like Peter Obi of Nigeria said " No country can progress when it's politics is profitable than it's industries. In a country where those in government are richer than entrepreneurs, they manufacture poverty " Maybe the reason why in Ghana the number of poor people keep increasing, because politics in Ghana has become an industry where you don't produce but sell. The interesting thing is that those in power today sell state assets including state lands to themselves forgetting that others also occupied these same offices but went away and left these lands and properties because of posterity, but it's like after this current group are behaving as if nobody will come after them. Yours is to grab, but as to whether what you have grabbed can sustain you, your powers haven't reach there yet.
