Allotey Jacobs has descended heavily on the National Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, over his recent interview on Joy News regarding the fury of Ghanaians at the incumbent government.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly called 'General Mosquito', stated categorically that "Ghana is more than ripe for a coup d’état" but his comment has incurred the wrath of Allotey Jacobs who finds it extremely irresponsible and unacceptable.
"Ghana is more than ripe for a coup d’état but the only thing that is saving us is the tolerance of Ghanaians. If you look at our history, you will see that the things that have led to previous coup d’états in this country were even less than what is happening now. But the only thing that is saving us is the tolerance and our collective history," Asiedu Nketia said.
He chronicled the irreparable harm that coups have inflicted on Ghanaian population, hence wondering why the NDC leader would even habor the thought for a government takeover.
He wished for Mr. Asiedu Nketia, his wife and family to be the first people to taste the wickedness of the coup he so desires to happen in the country.
"They should kill all politicians including their children and wives, and the Military should also take over. Is that what we want?"
The former NDC Central Regional Chairman charged the Military to be vigilant and watch Mr. Asiedu Nketia carefully because, to him, the latter may be privy to a plot to overthrow the government.
"The Military High Command must watch this; it could be a signal because we don't need this in our modern day Ghana under our Fourth Republic," he appealed in his submissions on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo".

Maybe, when there is coup, those spitting it would have themselves and family a members living. As a result, they will have the so called peace they yearn for to giver. Gif bless!
@Kwame, unfortunately, NDC cannot lose to Bawumia and the current faces of NPP. Bawumia has too many disadvantages on his side and he's not appealing to level headed floating voters. The level of incompetence and corruption that they have exhibited and his religious and tribal politics that has started already will definitely turn out in his disfavour. Cool headed guys will prefer to vote for Alan than both failures.
Hmmmmmm, maybe he's not aware he will be one of the most wanted should there be a coup d' etat. If your thinking is that the coup makers will start from 2017, you are deceiving yourself. Parliament will be the first to be dissolved, all political parties will be banned so you will cease to be a party chairman, the every day non sense between the two twins (NDC/NPP ) will cease. On a more serious note, for a so called politician to be calling for a coup d'etat should tell you Ghanaians in general have lost confidence, hope and trust in the NDC and NPP and by far so called politicians in general. The ***barred word*** is too glaring. I won't be surprised if voter turnout in Ghana begins to drop, the saying that if you don't vote, others will vote for a s t u p i d, f o o l i s h, c r i mi nal to come and rule over you is not applicable in Ghana because the two twins are coming from same direction, same orientation, same goal, same plan, i.e. To create, loot and share. They are like that housemaid who is given rice to feed a baby, the housemaid eats all the rice and use the oil on her hands to wipe the mouth of the baby, the mother comes back thinking her baby is well fed not knowing hmmmmm. Now if you see them bringing a big projects to your region or district, there is sitting benefit inside there for somebody not the community. The community is only a conduit for "things to pass to someone's pocket.
DR LIARMIA
Asiedu Nkatia just want to talk. He always don’t make sense. NDC will lose big time in 2024 and they will go on street again.
May Asiedu Nketia and all those who have conceived coup and their families be 1st to terribly perish according to their desire. This guy needs to be caught and given dirty slaps so he bleeds profusely from his openings...as an oppostion,if you can't convince Ghanaians with policies, ideas, alternative solutions, coz you,re empty but rather wish for coup they and their families will perish if there's one,may God forbid...and who told him if there's coup NDC will benefit...swines!
if the ndc is sure of wining 2024, why are they calling for coup? we tolerated their reckless stay in power, where they plunged un into 4 years of Dumsor amidst world bank embargo on employment, wasted our monies on liquidity support which they went back through the back door to share among themselves. if there should be a coup, he will be one the first people to give account to the military on why he sold his block to bui power authority when he served as the board chairman.
Uncle Allotey, let them be in the streets of Accra to demonstrate. Dr Bawumia is moving from region to region doing campaign quietly. By time they realized it is too late for them. Ghana is not only Accra, when you move just 40 kilometres from Accra food are in abundance. If they will use the standard of living in Accra as the basis to measure the government then, they would be laughing at the wrong end of their teeth.
if i were you old ***barred word*** ALLOTEY i wont be speaking again. you want to gain popularity on NDC my tongue is out ooo ***barred word*** bulu
