Alan Kyerematen a 4 time-defeated flag bearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party has received the saddest news in his political life as Members of Parliament from NPP who supported his bid to lead the party into the 2024 general elections have defied his call to support his selfish fantasy of contesting as an independent candidate in the next election.
The MPs notably, Abena Osei Asare, Davis Opoku Ansah, Sly Tetteh, and Adomako Kissi have openly declared that the NPP made them who they are in politics and won't betray the party. They also made their intention known that the party's interest supersedes personal interest and won't support Alan's ambition.
They have also urged the supporters of Alan to remain in NPP and not follow him since the party is what they have.
Scores of NPP supporters have admonished Alan Kyerematen for not being a team player and always causing confusion after losing primaries and also made it known to him that his reasons for leaving the party are flimsy and unmeritorious. They urged other members of the party to remain resolute and steadfast and ignore Alan his selfish agenda

do not believe that Alan has a good advisor in his political career because his behaviour in two instances has proven otherwise. As much as I strongly believe that Alan has overestimated his influence and importance in the NPP, there is no doubt about his competence and hard work, but in politics, strategy and patience are very critical in certain instances to achieve your goal or ambition. Then, given Alan's behaviour in this regard, he seems to be behaving as in kingdoms where the succession to the throne is hereditary. I used US President Biden as an example when he stepped aside for Mrs Clinton and later strategically enjoyed overwhelming support to become President in his old age.
