Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed three unique characteristics of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, which he said, inspire him.
Addressing NPP delegates in Ofoase Ayirebi, where he is MP, during Dr. Bawumia's campaign visit to the constituency, the Minister described Dr. Bawumia as a humble servant
"I have learnt some things from Dr. Bawumia which I have never mentioned. Today, I will reveal them, and they are three unique things," Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said.
"The first is he listens. He is somebody who puts his ears onnthe ground and also listens to advice. There are some people when they are elevated to higher positions, they think they know it all so they don't listen to anybody. But for Dr Bawumia, he listens. He will even consult himself," he added.
He continued; "The second is his commitment and dedication. The Vice President is always committed to whatever he does, whether for the party or government. He is the one who goes to the front line to always defend the party in difficult situations. Sometimes, it is obvious he will be attacked but he still commits himself. For example, he sacrificed his reputation and career for the NPP, including risking his reputation to defend the party in court."
"The third thing I have learnt is Bawumia’s depth of knowledge and his quest and humility to always seek more information."
"He always seeks knowledge on something before he acts. As a result, he is always asking for data on a subject to know more about the issue before he acts."
On the internal NPP contest to elect a new flagbearer, Hon. Oppong Nkrumah said Dr Bawumia is the best candidate stressing "Dr. Bawumia has served our party and government so well. When we needed men to defend the party, Bawumia offered himself. If it is now time to honour men. Who deserves the honour?"
He pledged that he and his constituents will vote for Dr. Bawumia to become flagbearer of the NPP.

Interesting times ahead! After the super delegates elections, we will know whether there more or less sane people among the rank and file of NPP. After the national delegates elections, we will know whether or not the insane population of NPP support base are more or less. After the national elections in 2024, we will know whether more Ghanaians are sound or the guys outnumber the correct thinking ones. Free topic for PhD proposal for political scientists. @kwaku Poku, I wonder why you Bawumia's supporters typically engage in stereotyping and wack logical reasoning. What shows that people who commented earlier are NDC supporters who are "afraid" of Bawumia? What's so attractive about Bawumia that will make northern youth fall for him this time round? Or you think strangely, they'll overlook the failures of Bawumia and his government and punish Mahama for those same reasons? And what makes you think the southern Ghana is a reserve for the NPP? You guys should continue this way.
I wonder if Bawumia will be a weak candidate why is it that all these ndc supporters who have put in all the comments don’t want Bawumia to become the flag bearer for the Npp? The sore Ndc losers are scared of Bawumia’s candidacy. Between Bawumia and Mahama who will our brothers and sisters from the North vote for especially the youth? Your guess is as good as mine. Bawumia will win in the north and where will be the pathway for Mahama to win in the general election?
If the NPP delegates make a mistake a vote for the incompetent vice President-Bawumia, the it is kuul chop for John Mahama. This is because even we the die hard NPP supporters koraa will not vote for NPP with incompetent Bawumia as our flag bearer.
I am a delegate from Ayawaso. We the polling station delegates are all for Kennedy Agyapong
Dear Dr. Bawumia, The signals on the grounds are very bad for you. People are really peeved at Akuffo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia government. I am being charitable with my choice of words here. Associating your campaign with the likes of Galamsey kingpins like kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Otchere Darko, Chairman Wontumi is making you very unpopular and will hurt your political fortunes adversely come Nov. 2023
Eeeei, so we no more talk about the Economic prowers of the Vice President Bawumia but his humility.? I thought Bawumia became popular ridding on the back of his Economic prowers. Hmmm, God save our beloved party NPP. Super Delegates, pls vote for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to save our dear party. The apparthy towards Bawumia will cause our defeat in the national elections. Majority of NPP members are saying- No Kennedy Agyapong, No vote . And pls take this message seriously because it is widespread. A word to a wise person is enough.
The Vice President -Bawumia is a spectacular failure. Only the NPP government appointees will vote for super incompetent Bawumia
Now the focus has shifted from economic prowess to inconsequential 'qualities'. How are these unique attributes going to help the delegates, the hungry and the unemployed. These unique attributes haven't helped in any way, you guys are now holding on straw in marketing your candidate. If this is all that a whole Minister of information has to say to sell his candidate to delegates, then the candidate and his supporters have no message. Delegates beware!
This Bawumia, the direct protégé of Akufo Addo, may God forbid it that Ghana will be lead by another of his kind. By the way, we haven't forgotten about the over 100 questions he posed to Amissah Arthur, it's more relevant and urgent now for him to answer them himself. We are waiting.
