The National Health Insurance Authority(NHIA) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye, says the Minority's decision to mass up at the premises of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) will be fruitless.
The NDC lawmakers issued a 21-day ultimatum to the central bank Governor and his deputies to resign over allegations of mismanagement or face picketing at the bank premises.
The Minority has accused the Governor of Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison, and his team of recording a staggering loss of GH¢60.8 billion within the 2022 fiscal year due to their mismanagement and are calling for their resignation.
Failure to resign, they've threatened to picket.
The former Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku constituency speaking to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', questioned the decision of the Minority when they had all the opportunity to question Mr Addison in Parliament.
"They're using the populist approach; if you're indeed thinking of Ghana use the right procedure," he told the Minority.
According to him, "the minority's action was deliberate; it was to create an impression of serious abuse but after the explanation; had it not been the press release from the Bank of Ghana, NDC was throwing dust into our eyes . . . why the picketing? As for the picketing; mark it anywhere, they can be there for 100 years, it will amount to nothing . . . even those who led the BoG are walking freely. Go and check the things that happened at BoG".

They should take their wives and girlfriends along. It will not change anything. Mosquitoes will feed on them.
If the NDC is able to do that, it will amount to publicly expressing their disrespect for the people of Ghana. I hope the NDC has the courage to do this because it will help them to get rid of their false and disrespectful belief that Ghanaians don't know what is going on politically in Ghana. Except their bias and parochial political interest as an opposition political party. You see, perception has become a tool that the NDC, in the absence of a comprehensive and better alternative policies, relies on to spew lies and propagate against every policy the ruling party has embarked on, whether successful or not. The value to the NDC is vile propaganda based on mere perception, without any provable facts to smear. And I bet, this time, if the NPP is able to break the '8-year term' for another NPP leadership, its good works will be very evident in the lives of Ghanaians, as against the cynical position of the NDC, which is only geared towards gaining political power.
WHY ARE THE ENLIGHTENED ONES IN GHANA SITTING ON THE FENCE OR JOINING THE NON-INFORMED MAJORITY TO MAKE ***barred word*** OF EVERY MOVE OF THE GOVERNMENT? IT IS SAD AND UNPATRIOTIC FOR US IF OUTSIDERS HAVE TO EXPLAIN THE POLICIES AND ACTIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT TO THE PUBLIC WHILST WE HAVE LEARNED PEOPLE IN THE COUNTRY. THIS GIVES A FIELD DAY TO THE DETRACTORS OF THE GOVERNMENT, LIKE THE NDC HAS NOW!
Hhaahaaaa, Ghana 'nsem piiiiiii'. They said they will enter they banking hall and chase out the governor and his deputies. Ghanaians are eagerly waiting for day number 21. Who knows, if the NDC is successful at this, they will make 'day number 21' a public holiday in Ghana. Ghana has become a referee's coin being tossed up and down by two twins with the citizens looking on helpless.
