The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West, Clement Wilkinson, a few days ago, suggested that the US$1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana Cedis allegedly stolen from Cecilia Dapaah's residence could be proceeds of a funeral donation.
“The company which received $43 million to dredge the Odaw river could have given Cecilia Dapaah $2 million in funeral donation...You know until the family meets to look at the entire donation, it would not be touched. It could be the reason the money was at her home” he opined on UTV, Saturday.
Peace FM's Sports Journalist, Dan Kweku Yeboah (DKY) reacting to this during the Sports segment on 'Kokrokoo' programme, Tuesday wondered the truthfulness of Wilkinson's claim; questioning "How much money was even raised at Bob Marley's funeral?"

The media should desist from giving platforms to such ediots to insult the intelligence of Ghanaians. That such large amounts were stolen and she and the husband didn't even notice until the husband physically caught one of them in their bedroom suggests that what was stolen is a tiny fraction of what she actually keeps at home! And by the way, it is reported that more cash was discovered at her home when the OSP arrested her and caused her residence to be searched. And it reportedly too 5 hours to count ! What have Ghanaians done to deserve this kind of wickedness from these theefs calling themselves politicians? How much can you spend in your lifetime. This is definitely public money that she stole and is trying to hide! Those who are using this as their thesis for propaganda should spare us. Ghanaians are just too tolerant and that is why we are taken for fuuls by these theefs!
Hahahaaaaaaaa, i laugh enter gutter. Bob Marley died in 1981 , 1 million dollars was plenty of money then, i doubt whether the annual government budget of Jamaica was up to 1 million dollars in 1981. Today that is 10% of one contract sum. You know the chorus in politicians in power /contractor relationship now is " bring 10%" and take this project. In some cases, the whole project/contract sum is for honourable, they are only using your contract license. Later on, you are sorted out with a contract of your own as "thank you". So assuming there is a contract of 10 million dollars and honourable decides to do the project himself by getting a friend who is a bigtime contractor to do the job for him or her and they end up spending say 6 million dollars to execute the contract it means honourable will have 4 million dollars as his profit from the contract, it's that simple. Now the challenge is where to keep this money since you can't send it to the bank in your name because of the position you occupy, it will raise eyebrows/suspicion, it then becomes like " STEALING THE VILLAGE DRUM MAY BE EASY, BUT FINDING A PLACE TO BEAT IT PEACEFULLY IS THE PROBLEM". This should tell you 1MILLION DOLLARS is peanuts for some politicians in Ghana, everybody wants to be MP because there is the likelihood you can be made a minister because the constitution says majority of ministers must come from parliament. Ask yourself why someone will collapse for losing his party's parliamentary primaries/general elections . You offer yourself to serve your people wholeheartedly without thinking of any benefits, they say hold on, then you collapse because of that, don't you think there is more to it than merely wanting to serve your people. How many assembly men aspirants have you seen collapsing after losing in district assembly elections? There is nothing there, only wahala. After serving for 4 years some assembly men are given GHC 1,000.00 (One thousand Ghana cedis) as ex gratia. 365 (one year) multiplied by 4 years = 1,460 days divided by GHC 1,000=GHC 1: 46 pesewas a day. Why will one collapse after losing out from something that will fetch you less than 2 cedis a day. If your house help see's your GHC 2 in your drawer, will she pick it? hahahaaaa. 4 legs good , 2 legs bad. George Owell's ***barred word*** FARM @ play in Ghana.
