NPP National Youth Organizer, Abdul Salam Mustapha has defended the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong over his comments that "it will never happen that we, the NPP, will stand on a platform to hand over power to the NDC".
Mr. Bryan Acheampong also stressed "if the NDC dares to use threats, violence and foolishness in the 2024 election, we will let them know we have the men. We will show them that we have the men".
The Police have been called upon by the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to arrest the Minister over his comments which have been described as "treasonable".
But Mr. Abdul Salam Mustapha says there is nothing wrong with what Hon. Bryan Acheampong said.
He noted that the Minister saying the NPP will not hand over power to the NDC is only suggestive of his eagerness to see the ruling party win the next elections.
Like Bryan Acheampong, the NPP National Youth Organizer emphasized that he will equally "do everything to win the next elections as National Youth Organizer", therefore asking "what is wrong if Bryan Acheampong says the same thing?"
