Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the governing New Patriotic Party's Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, has said fellow flag bearer aspirant Alan Kyerematen is deserving of the slot by virtue of his toils for the party.
Mr Agyapong told Sompa FM in the Kumasi metropolis that Mr Kyerematen has paid his dues to the party and, thus, deserves to be the flag bearer.
In is view, if people are arguing that Dr Bawumia deserves to be the flag bearer because he has been the vice president for two terms, then Mr Kyerematen is even more deserving of that privilege.
"Yes, if Alan says it’s his turn, he deserves it because he has been in the trenches with the party from its inception as the president of the Young Executives Forum (YEF) which was the financial wing of the NPP in the early days”, Mr Agyapong noted.
He wondered: “Where were all these small boys who have been insulting Alan, when he was in the trenches working for the NPP”.

Who cares if you have change your mind Chicken your name says a lot 🙂🤣
I have been for Bawumia all along. But I have changed my mind. Akuffo Addo's failure is an albatross on Bawumia's neck. And of late he is acting too much like the typical Ghanaian politician! At every event, churches, mosques, funerals and weddings and giving out monies left and right in a supposed charity outlook! I wonder where he gets all that money from! And I doubt he has the gravitas to check the many unscrupulous politicians that are supporting him once he wins! If even Akuffo Addo couldn't check them, then Bawumia definitely can't! ITS Alan for me now!
Ei, is this Ken man also contesting? I remember the Mice chewing pepper with their mother story. 'Abroc'
I'm beginning to believe that Ken is in the race to favour Alan, it's interesting how he subtly praises Alan against Bawumia...he must know that Bawumia is the man of the moment, without him,NPP must forget about winning 2024 elections...It's only Bawumia who can break the 8 for NPP!
Nobody has insulted Alan, and nobody is stopping him from contesting. Almost all those contesting are deserving. It's about the best among them. Ken should focus on his campaign if he is serious and not get us thinking he is decoy for Alan. Bawumia is streets ahead of Alan. It's not a matter of who has been in the trenches deepest
