NDC Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said he is ever ready to be a political prisoner of conscience than to be coerced and compromised into a behind the scenes deal with the corrosive enemies of the Republic.
"Let the cowardly forces of tyranny be told that I am not one to be frightened with imprisonment," he said.
According to him a country where parliamentarians carrying out their constitutional oversight mandate become victims of state sponsored harassment, strange court injunctions and judicial threats of imprisonment even as double identity charlatans are protected and pampered is definitely a nation in the dark abyss.
"I wish to express heartfelt appreciation and profound gratitude for the overwhelming solidarity and words of encouragement I have received since the series of cathedral exposes in the pursuit of his constitutional mandate of oversight, and in the face of the current facist machinations to use the judiciary and other state institutions to silence and intimidate me," he posted on twitter Thursday morning.

Okudzeto Ablakwa kicks court writ on the ground upon service by bailiff
North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa kicked away a writ filed against him by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, Rev Victor Kusi-Boateng.
The order seeks to restrain him from making further public disclosures of the private information, documents, correspondence, communication and property belonging to the Applicant; and for such further order or orders as the Court deems fit.
He was served by a bailiff on Friday, February 3, 2023 on the premises of Metro Television after appearing on their morning show, Good Morning Ghana.

Why is guy so arrogant? If it were other civilised jurisdictions processed have commenced to cage this acid mouth arrogant braggart. Does he understand the phrase political prisoners? He shouldn't dare compare himself with the likes of Mandela and Co. These political prisoners didn't dwell on lies and peddle half truths and propaganda. They fought against foreign domination. They were not judgement debt contractors. It's high time the lawmaker he calls himself learn to be humble and respect old age and state institutions.
The rule of law is supreme. The double identity man you called also has got the right to seek redress in court. You should set a good example instead of you disrespecting the court as a honourable member. The laws of Ghana should be respected. It’s the same laws that give you parliamentary immunity when you even commit an offence whilst driving to the parliament. The law should take it course. Simplistically simplicity simplified simplito. You will be jailed as a petulant law maker not a political prisoner.
It seems OgaDzeto can't stand the heat he dishes out to others. Get out of the kitchen and stop the ridiculous shenanigans, no one is persecuting. you talk big and when someone also decides to talk back you put your tail between your legs and ran home whimpering. Petulant man.
Though I sight with you on the exposure, that is even if is true. I disagree with you on flouting the letter from the court to the floor and stepping on it. What is wrong is wrong and should not been justify, your actions on the day was wrong because if you disrespect the law how do you ensure if others break it. Let the wise listens and be wiser and let the ***barred word*** listen and turn from his ways. Even the book of proverbs says, when the ***barred word*** keeps silent, he is considered wise.
SIR YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE A POLITICAL PRISONER . YOU ARE JUST A LAWLESS BABY WITH A SHARP TEETH THAT NEEDS TO LEARN TO CONDUCT HIMSELF. YOU CANNOT FLOUT LAWS AND EXPECT TO GO SCOT FREE. YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW. IF ALL WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS TRUE THEN PLEASE PROCEEED TO COURT AND SUBSTANTIATE YOUR CLIAMS . RATHER THAN RANTING ON FACEBOOK.
This populism and propaganda form NDC in this time and age will not wash. You will go to jail because you don't respect the law you yourself make. No real Ghanaian has sympathy for you. Shame on you!
Oh yes, a good one from Papa Kwame
I think Ohemaa-Ba is setting the right tone for informed criticism instead of the NDC's usual vile propaganda politics of deception.
This guy is not serious at all .Abuga Pele was jailed because of his conduct and altitude without political tag so Ablakwa must be jailed because he thinks he is a handsome above every Ghanaian therefore he can do anything that pleases him without rebuke. Ablakwa the constitutions of Ghana protects you and your descendant and you subjected and mistreated the same constitution into gutters .Ablakwa and his NDC weak minds thinks that because NDC was born out revolution the judicial armed of the country should award him for disrespecting the same judicial that swears in a new president of the republic of Ghana. NDC LEADERSHIP GROW AND STOP THE MYOPIC BEHAVIOR
Oh God, how I wish Ablakwa and Co. would heed their own advice and realize that the politics of vile propaganda becomes counterproductive when their political opponent is determined to push the agenda based on sound policies to turn things around for the benefit of their people. Today, Ghana adds value to cocoa by nearly 50% of net cocoa production. On that note, kudos to the NPP for a job well done.
