National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has disagreed with pundits who claim there is no 'culture of silence' under the ruling Akufo-Addo-led government.
Giving a litany of examples to buttress his point that there’s no freedom of expression under the current administration, he added “we can all pretend as ostriches and bury our heads in the sand and pretend that everything is ok in Ghana but if the worst happens, it will affect all of us…so we have every right to speak up”
Sammy Gyamfi who was speaking in a one-on-one interview on UTV further criticized Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for turning himself into an 'assemblyman' instead of dealing with economic matters.

Sometimes democracy seem priceless but very very costly. We have no choice than to endure. We give thanks to God Sammy Gyamfi after debasing Hon Bagbin and others has found his voice and still speaks though he cries” Culture of Silence”
Sammy Gyamfi needs a home training. He calls himself a lawyer. I just want to ask him & to answer me how many people he has defended in court since he became a lawyer?
This Sammy Gyamfi is very immature. Why muddle the waters with insults. Just make your points and put the government on the defensive. Now all people will take away is you calling the Vice President an assembly man. You know it is ridiculous
I bemoan the manner how the opposition party politicking is practiced here in Ghana. I think, the NDC in particular leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the people of Ghana wishing to know the alternative better approach to solving issues of a direful national interest. There is simply too much propaganda and lies aimed only at dragging the ruling party in baseless politics. To make the Government look bad so as to gain political advantage. The trigger of all these noises of protestation was the exaggerated culture of silence speech of Sir Sam Jonah. And clearly, the NDC does nothing better than simply capitalizing on it for a hopeless political gain. Forgetting that the people of Ghana had reached the political age and could make their own enlightened views. With time this kind of deceitful politicking is going to be irrelevant and counterproductive, working against the NDC. And the NDC is doomed to remain in opposition and extinct forever. I don't believe the NDC has the requisite competence to make its own sense of anything. This deficit, the inanity of the NDC compels the NPP-pundits to pursue an intelligent conversation with the civil society.
You make every statement as and when you wish and want You insult, vilify, scandalize anyone you want at anytime of your choice yet, you claim there’s a culture of silence Well, talk is cheap indeed
Have a bit of respect for the Assembly men and women.
Anyway this man is too young to understand "the culture of silence"
