The Director of Operations for the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Nana Ofori Owusu has criticized the Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA), Prof. Kenneth Attafuah for ‘failing’ to complete ‘a simple task assigned’ to him.
He does not understand how gathering data from Ghanaians have become difficult for the NIA; adding Prof Ken Attafuah must resign.
He further indicated that government should have handed over the work to the Electoral Commission since they are already used to collecting such information from Ghanaians.
“As a nation, we continue to joke with resources without taking proper account of the money that we are spending as a nation. This 1.2billion spent by the NIA, this man and this institution cannot complete a simple registration. The professor has failed . . . having failed in his work, he must step aside. Professor has not done his work (well); he must step aside," he added while contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.
