The Electoral Commission [EC] has said an amount of between 300 million and 400 million Ghana cedis will be needed to commence the process of a new voters register.
Director of Electoral Services at the Electoral Commission, Dr Serebour Quaicoe also said plans to have new voters register for this year’s general election will go ahead as scheduled.
The Commission has reiterated the fact that the decision to have a new register is not intended to cheat or disenfranchise anyone, insisting that it will be vindicated at the end of the day, Dr Serebour Quaicoe said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
