Deputy Information Minister, Nana Ama Dokua, has described Leader and Founder of the Glorious Wave Ministries International, Rev. Emmanuel Badu Kobi as a "reckless" man of God.
To the deputy minister, his (Badu Kobi's) recent comments are in "bad taste and should not be countenanced in anyway".
Founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Badu Kobi, has been captured in a viral video taking a strong swipe at women from some ethnic groups in the country.
According to the controversial prophet, women who hail from the Ashanti region are greedy, materialistic, disrespectful and money-conscious.
Prophet Badu Kobi then advised all possible suitors to shun not to import problems for themselves by marrying women from the Ashanti region.
He described "Fanti women" as "foolish sometimes" and "Ewes too doormats."
Commenting on this on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" programme, Hon Dokua, who is also the Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, called on Ghanaian women to rise up and fight against the irresponsible comments by the man of God.
"He should render an unqualified apology to women and people of Ghana for those insane comments. We should not allow such comments to from men of God of his caliber," she said.
"It is rather unfortunate that we have to wake up to discuss such issues when the finance minister will be presenting the midyear budget review today. He should be condemned in no uncertain terms and be made to render an apology," she added.

you are as u.se.less as you kicking against the prophet. i keep on sayingb that, dont be social media ministers, be ministers of valuie. why cant you at least get a petition from women group or women cacus in parliament to officially invite the prophet. as many times as our leaders and appointees join social media to comment, i wont let them off the hook, same social media we will also use to kick you. what sort of work at all are you ding, now you want us to hear ya voice right?. i pity Ghanaian Christians. we did it to otabil and we doing it to this prophet too. had it been a Moslem, can we do that. though it might be true but not the best of comment or time for the prophet to have said that, we shouldn't allow ppl to insult him, later we may know we bringing the value of Christianity down. look at how some youthful Moslem attacked owusu bempeh for a mere prophecy not even a reality, if Christians will rise to protect our own, we will always win. A christian can go to church and imediately bring to social medis what the wife of the pastor is wearing, bring to social media tithes and offering. have you ever heard a moslem on social media condeming even fake mallam etc?. crooks are dressed like christians and is time we expose them. if you deputy minister and think what a christian prophet did was wrong, s a christian you go to him and plead with him to at least never say it again or apologies. now is badu kobi a supposed NDC prophet, you all bringing your sub standard incompetent performance to lament, what did we do to owusu bempeh when he took a whole macho men to a radio station to cause havoc and live on radio insulting?. is time we know that, we will protect and preserve our own as Moslem do, after all, there is a bad nut in every religion
The truth must be told, women who hail from the Ashanti region are greedy, materialistic, disrespectful and money-conscious.
