The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has disclosed that the presentation of this years mid year budget review has been postponed to 22nd of this month.
The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta was expected to appear before the house this week to present this year's mid year budget review.
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that the Finance Minister has another appointment which was scheduled for this week and upon consultation as leader of government business, it is only proper to have the mid year budget review postponed.
According to him the NDC also made us to understand that they will be having their vetting within the same period of next week so we had to agree on a date that will be convenient for all members of the house to be present since it is an important occasion.
"The mid year budget review is not anything new, it is just a normal practice of the Finance Minister coming to brief the house on how far the country's budget has been expended under the year under review. So we are expecting the Finance Minister to appear before the house on 22nd of July, 2019," he said.
