The Minority Spokesperson on Communications, A.B.A Fuseini says Ghana is no longer safe under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He explained that Ghanaians now live in fear with the state doing “little” to protect them – he described the recent kidnapping in the Western regional capital, the shooting during the Ayawaso West Wuogon bye-election and the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale among others as “security flop” under the incumbent.
The NDC Member of Parliament [MP] for Sagnarigu Constituency in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’ said the president ahead of his third State of the Nation address on February 21, 2019 must focus on the security in the country as well as the economy.
“Every Ghanaians’ fundamental concern is that this country is very insecure. In fact, when you leave and go to work, it is by the grace of God that you get back to your house. We have never experienced this kind of insecurity in this country at any point in time,” he said.
To him, “The economy is also bad. This is not what the president promised. Businesses are collapsing. This is a very terrible situation Ghanaians are facing. We are tired of his empty promises, no wonder he has been nicknamed ‘King Promise’.”
“No more promises, he should protect Ghanaians, and change the economy,” he added.
