Current General Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia says his decision to seek reelection as Chief Scribe is “for the love to serve” the people of his party.
He was emphatic in an interview on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that the position he has held over the years is not ‘lucrative’ as been purported by his competitors.
“I am not rich because of the position as a General Secretary of the NDC. Those who know me well know that I am someone who always wants to serve the people for a good cause,” he said.
General Mosquito as affectionately called in politics has officially declared his intention to seek reelection as Chief Scribe.
The experienced politician and former legislator made his intention known after speculations were rift that he would be contesting for the Chairmanship slot.
The General Secretary position of the NDC will be keenly contested after deputy General Secretary; Koku Anyidoho also declared his intention to unseat his current boss.
