Aspiring National Chairman for the Progressive People's Party, Nana Ofori Owusu has praised the seemingly heroic character of Deputy EC Commissioner, Georgina Opoku Amankwah over the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).
The EOCO on Monday afternoon, January 15, 2018 stormed Mrs. Opoku Amankwah's office demanding her exit with immediate effect.
She was asked to vacate her office following investigations into her alleged involvement in some power play and corruption at the EC.
EOCO Boss, ACP Mr. K.K. Amoah (rtd) together with a joint armed Police Officers trooped into her office while she was there to rout her out.
Mrs. Opoku Amankwah blatantly refused to be driven out from her office because to her, she doesn't understand why she alone was being forced out when all the Commissioners under investigation have been coming to work.
Addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Nana Ofori Owusu noted that the woman's bravery is worth commending because her return to the office has propelled the EOCO to prepare an adequate response to her which she wasn't getting since she went home.
He told sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesseh that he "liked it" that the Deputy EC Commissioner didn't cringe to the intimidation of the EOCO.
He believed the Deputy EC Commissioner took the bold action to go back to her office because she felt singled out when she and the other Commissioners were all under investigation but they were allowed to be in their offices.
To Nana Ofori Owusu, the woman's action has strengthened the country's democracy.

You envy them but can't match them, I will repeat they are tough ladies that's why ndc could exist up till now. Had it not been Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings a tough lady who could organise women to follow her husband who else could do that? and ndc was formed under her influence which has giving you sh*tholes good air to breath and l000t the nation with impunity. Get a life and stop the hate. In any case I don't come from that region but I know what I'm talking about idi*t kuraseni, aboafun like you can't shut off my opinion about some people in Ghana, ***barred word*** like you, if you hate some people does that mean nobody should talk about who they are and how they carry themselves , st*pid fo*l. I don't depend on you neither your f--cking ndc party.
ROSA PARKS, It's not because she's tough or an Ashanti lady. What happened to Ashanti ladies during Rawlings' dictatorial rule? She could have been manhandled if we were in a military rule, so, stop the ***barred word*** of a tough Ashanti lady.
That is the nature of an Ashanti lady. They don't brag, they don't make noise too much just take things cool but very tough. You can't intimidate them, it's something they hate and will stand firm even to the verge of death.I have lady friends from Ashanti region, who are just like this lady they stand firm on their convictions. They very nice and ever ready to help but don't take them for granted else you will feel sorry.
