Sunday’s mop up exercise to offset challenges encountered during the December 1, 2016 special voting exercise recorded virtually a repetition at the Tema Central Constituency (Community 8 polling station) as a number of security personnel and agents of the EC had to leave the polling station dejected because for a second time, their names were not captured in the special voters list complied for the exercise.
Tema Central had a total of 458 special voters, 301 of who voted last Thursday. 157 voters were expected to vote Sunday, but at the close of polls, only 30 succeeded in voting.
There was drama however, at about 3:30 pm, when the New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Tema Central, Mr Kofi Brako who was visiting the polling station verbally and physically assaulted the Returning Officer supervising the process, Mr Isaac Asamoah.
Assault
Mr Brako, who was apparently not happy about the positioning of the voting screens, had engaged the Returning Officer in a discussion.
In the course of the discussion, the MP verbally assaulted the Electoral Commission official, sticking his forefinger in the neck of the Returning Officer and attempted to slap him.
The two were however separated after which the MP drove off.
"Must you people kill me before KB retain his seat?", the EC official retorted, pointing at the Tema Central NPP Chairman, Mr Charles Boateng, who had been monitoring the process at the Community 8 Polling Station all day.

This year we will not tolerate bullshit from the EC. Good job, MP!
How can an Honorable go soo low? I am ashamed and disappointed in him. Shame on him. You think life is all about having power. Wait and see what comes after life.
NARCOTIC DESTINY CONGRESS
So even in opposition, they have started slapping EC officials? These are the things which will keep the NPP in opposition for a long time.
The officer should be blamed for wrongfully positioning the voting screen. He has no justification for not performing this simple task. The 'entrance' of the booth should face the queue. That way the back of the voter will face the queue. This is the rule!! He should not tell me he forgot. I wont accept that excuse.
This all die be die attitude in politics must stop. We need peace for Christ sake.
He need the mental hospital.
