Confusion broke out at the Electoral Commission Ashanti regional office after NPP refused to accept the parliamentary ballot papers sent there.
NPP regional chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako who led the challenge said the ballot did not have NPP initials printed on it as the other parties have.
He said apart from the logo printed on the ballot paper, there is no indication of the party to which the logo belongs.
The ballots for the region arrived in Kumasi last night and the representatives of the various parties gathered to assess them Monday morning.
Luv FM's Erastus Asare Donkor reported that all the political parties have their initials printed under their logo on the ballot paper except the NPP.
A close look at the ballot paper, however, reveals 'New Patriotic Party' which forms part of the party's logo, on the printout.

Indeed the EC want to rig the election so they have started with this tricks knowing that we have "illetrate voters" who only can just identify the Party by the NPP without the elephant. OH MAMA AFRICA!!! Why always you. Equal right, free and fair brings peace
PLEASE EC DONT GIVE ANYBODY THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU WANT TO RIG THE ELECTION. THIS IS SIIIILLY THING TO DO. THIS CANNOT BE TAKEN AS A MISTAKE BUT AS INTENTIONAL. EC MUST BE SERIOUS AND STOM THE NOONSENSES.
Though I am a strong npp supporter, this time I don't agree with antwi bosiako.he got it all wrong. Npp do not have the initial under de logo. Please cross check de presidential n all the exhibition pasted in ur constituency.there is nothing like NPP under de logo. Lol chairman u make wild too much hahahahaha.this time dierrr Charlotte get you ooo lol
NPP must use people who are qualified people with reputation to act as polling agent; people who cannot be bribed by the ndc; we have accountants who are willing to do the job for free. npp please shine your eyes ooo.
We must be mindful of the people we send to represent the party. They must be answerable and accountable to the party executives since they are sent by a committee. The act was intentional by the EC; One con not say that because the party s name is found in the logo it was not needed to printed again is a none starter. The EC must be taken on for such a blunder and be surcharged if it was rejected.
Pls such an error is intentional, why ec,why. pls some of us do not have passport to travel outside Ghana. so we beg u ec to do the right thing.why are u continuously creating the impression that the ec is against npp. pls Ghanaian know that it is the npp which can govern the country to create wealth for the citizenry. Any attempt by the ec to twist the election would bring the wrath of God on the them.our children needs jobs, quality education ect.
I wonder why an NPP agent watched this being printed. This is a wake up call for NPP to use agents who have the brains.
Tweeeaaa, the NPP rep in the printing room must be sacked. They have started it again. Their agents are not committed and at the end of the day EC gets the blame. I am happy majority of the NPP parliamentary candidates are number 3 on the ballot . The confusion is a confusion, I laugh enter the ballot box
CHAIRMAN U HAVE A POINT THUMBS UP
The illetrate chairman is far better than the incompetent John Mahama and his vice ***barred word*** man Amissah Arthur who has destroyed our economy
