Ajumako, the administrative capital of Ajumako Enyan Essiam(AEE) District came to a complete standstill on the evening of Tuesday 28th September 2016.
This happened during the 2nd day of the Central Regional tour of Alhaji Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia, the Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which took him to the AEE constituency.
Most residences described the crowd as unprecedented as activities within the commercial town came to a complete stand still.
Interestingly, this was after a massive turnout by NPP party faithfuls at Enyan Abaasa which was the first point of call of the vice presidential candidate in the constituency.
Addressing the huge and massive crowd after visiting the Omanhene of the Ajumako traditional council, Alhaji Dr. Bawumia questioned the basis of the 'Better Ghana Transforming Lives' mantra of the ruling NDC government when literally all social intervention programs bequeathed to them by the NPP have collapsed.
He asked the people of AEE to vote the NPP into power for rapid development and improvement in their standards of living.
He stated that the soon to be launched manifesto of the NPP will give a clear and precise roadmap of how the party will restore hope to Ghanaians.
Earlier on. the parliamentary candidate for the AEE constituency Ransford Kwesi Nyarko stated that he is definite that NPP will recapture it's lost seat and promised the teeming crowd that with the "One District One Factory" policy of the NPP, job opportunities will be created and thus the constituency will be placed on a path of true prosperity for all.
He asked the people of AEE constituency to vote for a party with solutions to the myriad challenges of our times rather than voting for a party that is only interested in parting with little gifts during months prior to elections just to perpetuate themselves in power, while leaving the people they claim to be serving impoverished.

A party which never learns. This is what they use to determine their victory. Poor NPP they always count their chickens before they are hatched. Any close observer could easily see that this crowd is not as massive as the story wants us to believe. Mahama will also go there and we shall see the difference. Few people meet Nana at the EC premises and it is also reported as massive. NPP has completely abandoned the national development agenda campaign and now doing sensationaism. I can't wait for Dec 7 which will end all this vexatious postures.
Impressive NPP! Thank you Dr Bawumia.
NPP AND ITS LIES. AAK IS A DONE DEAL FOR HON ATO FORSON. WAIT AND SEE THE GAP!
once again, the little mindsets of NPP is at work, Bawumia goes somewhere and a crowd of less 1,000 throng to see him , then he is " a force to reckon with", the parlance from many of the contributors on this thread, meanwhile in the last elections, NPP got over 10,000 votes from the same AEE constituency but lost. Please do not be deceived by the crowds during campaigns, in the villages, there is nothing to do and any gathering is seen as jamboree. please NPP, think deep and learn from past experiences.
Sour grapes Yaw Amankwa. Sour grapes. What has this story got to do with Agya Koo? If you claim that he is wanted at the Tesano Police Station, why didn't the police effect his arrest when he was going round declaring his support for a particular political party? It is ridiculous to suggest that he is a fraudster and yet no arrest has been effected in this regard. As indicated earlier, the story is not about Agya Koo. It is about Dr. Bawumia and how he is turning heads around where ever he goes. In any case, I do not think the NPP or any other political party needs the presence of a celebrity on its campaign trail. The numerous hardships, rising poverty levels, high crime rates and massive corruption are testament enough for the need to oust this incompetent and corrupt government. Just go to the Ridge Hospital, the newly constructed edifice belies how the hospital's buildings are "decaying". I am apolitical but on the evidence of what is happening around us, CHANGE IS IMMINENT. NDC MUST LEAVE, SIMPLICITER.
Dr.Bawumiah is the man of the moment.Who God bless,no one curse.Alhaji Bawumiah all the way!!!
I really thank the people of AEE where I come from to show that the NDC party cannot ***barred word*** us for all the time. We the people of AEE believe in change and no one stop us from voting against this incompetent Mahama government.
Dr.Bawumia is a force to be reckoned with. No doubt about that. He has become very popular in this country. NDC beware.
This Bawumia guy is a force to reckon with. He pulls crowd more than president JM. No wonder his opponents are trying unsuccessfully to soil his image.
The wind of change is blowing.
