Public Relations Director of the Ministry of Energy and NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Bongo, Edward Bawa has raised concerns about the country's security.
Commenting on the terrorist threat reports circulating across the nation, Edward Bawa was worried about the porous nature of the country.
He told host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' that the rate at which people gain entrance into the country without thorough security checks is very alarming.
Alluding to the arrest of David McDermott, a British national who is alleged to be a cocaine smuggler; Mr. Bawa further recounted that often times foreigners can enter and acquire assets such as houses in the country at the blind side of the security agencies.
He therefore called on the security agencies to beef up security in all parts of the country in order to avert any terrorist acts.
Meanwhile the National Security Council has allayed fears of Ghanaians regarding any terrorist threats and further called for public vigilance.
The National Security Council has called on Ghanaians to report any untoward and suspicious activities to the law enforcement agencies.
