Aspiring NDC Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George has expressed worry in the call off of the parliamentary primaries in his constituency.
Officials of the Electoral Commission in the Ningo Prampram Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, called off the ongoing elections due to an extreme tension in the constituency between incumbent E.T Mensah and presidential staffer, Sam George.
Sam George has alleged that his name and that of other 3,000 delegates have been deleted from the voters’ register – a situation that might cost him his ambition to be in parliament if the election proceeds.
His request to call off the election for vivid investigation of the 3,000 memebers missing in the register led to an assault by an alleged aide of Mr. E.T Mensah.
Speaking to Peace FM, optimistic Sam George believes he will win the election if the right measures are put in place – after accusing incumbent E.T Mensah of masterminding an attempt rigging.
Sam George noted that - his sleepless nights prior to the elections has been futile due E.T Mensah’s unfortunate behaviour.
“I have not slept for the past two days just to monitor proceedings to the election because I knew what he [E.T Mensah] is capable of doing,” he said.
