The Ghana Police Service has suspended a court action against Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) according to Convener of the pressure group, David Asante.
The police filed a suit action against the pressure group for going against the public order act and for destroying state properties during their demonstration which led to the injuring of several demonstrators last month.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday, David Asante said per the schedule given to him by the police, he was supposed to be in court on Wednesday, however, he was informed later that the court action has been suspended sine die.
“They told me the case has been suspended sine die. We wish the police will be more definite…They shouldn’t have started if they knew they wouldn’t continue with it” he told Kwami Sefa Kayi on ‘Kokrokoo’
