Aspiring candidates of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been advised to go through the vetting process successfully before they invest in campaigning for votes.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Stephen Ashitey-Adjei, an Executive Member, NDC, Tema East Constituency, said, “When aspirants fail to go through the vetting process successfully, the resources that they pumped into the propagation of their message would have gone down the drain.
“Such resources could have been used by the party to augment its election campaign to re-elect President John Mahama and a bigger majority to Parliament to steer the affairs of the nation.”
According to him, some people had been disqualified in the Eastern and Central regions adding that, “What happens to the resources they have used to print t-shirts, banners, posters and other items and services to carry the messages?”
He said, “We should not put the cart before the horse. This is a lesson for all of us. Now let us put all bitterness behind us and help the party to re capture power.”
