NPP Chairman for Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Asare Bediako has begged for fair hearing for the beleaguered National Chairman, Paul Afoko and the General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong.
According to him, the Constituency chairmen in the Ashanti region called the two for a meeting to hear their side on the allegations levelled against them, just so they (Chairmen) will not be seen as hastily passing judgment.
“We should give Afoko and Agyepong fair hearing if we want peace in the NPP. When we were asked to consider the resolution to ask Afoko and Agyepong to step aside, we decided to give them fair hearing because we didn’t want to be in a haste to pass judgment over the death of Mahama Adams”, he stated.
In the process of resolving the heat in the party amicably, Asare Bediako on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning, revealed they had planned to meet the party’s Flagbearer, Nana Addo over the matter for his view before he [Nana Addo] hinted them of the scheduled press conference held today.
“This has to do with the peace we are seeking in NPP; we should dialogue because with the way people are calling for their removal is not the best while we have not heard their side of the allegation to ascertain the truth”, he stated.
“We cannot continue this way and that is why we the chairmen in Ashanti Region have decided to investigate the allegation before we decide on what action to take in this matter”, he added.
