A former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Klottey Korley constituency, Nii Nortey is predicting that Philip Addison would not emerge victorious in the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries in the area.
Philip Addison, Counsel for NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2012 Election Petition is seeking to contest as Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korley constituency.
He would be given the nod to run on the ticket of the party if he wins the party’s upcoming primaries.
But his contender, Nii Nortey believes he [Philip Addison] does not meet the requirements to occupy such a position.
“If he was a candidate that could win the elections, I would have given him all my support but Klottey Korle needs someone who will be there all the time. They need someone who will mingle with them,” he added
Philip Addison earlier accused his constituency chairman, Nii Noi Nortey of stabbing him in the back after earlier supporting his parliamentary ambitions.
The former constituency chairman resigned a few days back to contest in the upcoming primaries.
