The National Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned President John Dramani Mahama against the making of tribalistic comments which bring division to the country.
President John Mahama courted controversies when during a three day tour of the Ashanti Region, accused the people of Kumasi of being unappreciative.
Quoting a twi proverb: sɛ Akokɔ sa kyerɛ Akroma a, ennyɛ no fɛ, the President said even if his administration uses gold to construct roads in the Ashanti Region, they will not appreciate it.
One other controversial issue is the use of Daddy Lumbas Yen tie obiaa song by the President while he was inspecting projects in the Ashanti Region.
Many are incensed with the President because according to them, apart from him (President Mahama) accusing Asanteman of being unappreciative, he is also insensitive to the difficulties Ghanaians are facing in the country with the song Yen tie obiaa
Speaking on Fridays edition of Kokrokoo, John Boadu remarked that the President is fond of making such comments.
This is not the first time and he should be careful...such comments creates division in the country, he indicated.
