An Aspiring National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku has stated that the party will not seek redress at the law courts after the 2016 general elections.

“We have witnessed so many types of leadership; in 2016 there will be no court. Everything will have to be done through hard work and dedication, to ensure that the NPP moves from minority to majority and from opposition into government, Awuku said.

Mr. Awuku expressed these sentiments when he picked the party’s nomination forms to enable him contest for the National Youth Organizer position for the New Patriotic Party.

Wearing a green shirt and cap to signify how militant he intends to rally the youth groups both within and outside the party to wrestle power from the NDC, Mr. Awuku stated that he is prepared to count every vote for the party, stressing that he will make no distinction between the vote of an Imam or the vote of ghetto boy.

Campaigning under the slogan ‘Boys Abre, Girls Abre,’ he assured party supporters that he will take the campaign to the grassroots in an attempt to end what he described as the coal tar politics in the party, he added that even where the roads are not motorable they will be there to campaign from dusk to dawn.

He urged party members to take the campaign to every nook and cranny of Ghana and beyond. He said that the NPP Youth Wing will write a book of success in 2017 after the the general elections and assured that the Youth Wing will not be in opposition.

“Mahama I knew will be a disaster but I didn't expect a catastrophe,” he stated.

Mr Awuku pledged to end the politics where the National Youth Organizer becomes a secretariat on its own situated only in Accra, whereas the party youth wing is hanging. He said that every constituency will be targeted.

He said to avoid the situation where the party will stay long in opposition, the youth of the party should do everything in other that the Youth Wing is built into a movement.

He reminded party members about the need to form a cohesive movement in other that they come out with policies that can help the party move from opposition into government and further urged them to support their MPs in Parliament who are doing the grassroots work.

“This is not the time for one to pull the other down. Lets demonstrate our commitment to our democracy, the situation we find ourselves in now is precarious, and any breach of commonsense Ghanaians will have to suffer for twelve years,” he said.
