NPP Members Pick Nomination Forms

Twenty-eight members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have picked nomination forms since the opening of nomination on Monday to contest for the various national executive positions the party.

Positions to be contested are National Chairperson, 1st National Vice Chairperson, 2nd National Vice-Chairperson and 3rd National Vice-Chairperson.

Others are General Secretary, National Treasurer, National Organiser, National Women's Organiser and National Youth Organiser.

The three-day exercise is expected to close today, January 29.

Aspirants

The aspirants for the Chairman position are Mr Paul Afoko, Mr Stephen Ntim, Mr Fred Oware and Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey.

Those for Vice Chairman are: Mr Freddie Blay, Mr Sammy Crabbe, Mr Fred Amankwa Sarfo, Sheikh T.B Damba, Mrs Serwaa Akoto Sam, Mr F.F Anto and Hajia Fati Amadu.

For the General Secretary Mr Kojo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, Mr Kwabena Agyepong and Captain Nkrabea Effah Dartey are in the race.

Alhaji Moctar Bamba and Mr Hopeson Adorye Yaovi battling it out for the National Organiser position.

Madam Sussie Mensah, Esther Ofori, Mr Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah go for the Treasure position.

Nasara Coordinator: Mr Kamal Deen-Abdulai.

For the Youth Organisers the contestants are Charles Addo Gyamfi, Sammy Awuku, Madam Gifty Oware.

When the Daily Graphic team got to the headquarters around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, Sammy Awuku had just picked his form to contest for the National Youth Organiser of the party.

Mr Awuku pledged his commitment to help the youth in the country to solve their social problems, which relate to unemployment, health and education in the country.

“Let’s take the campaign to the people at the grass roots and the coastal areas. Every constituency will be targeted to ensure victory for the party,” he said.

The aspiring national youth organiser entreated the youth to demonstrate their commitment to the party since the youth had an undying spirit and with them in the party, it was going to be victorious in the 2016 general election.
