Barring any last minute changes, President John Dramani Mahama will release the first batch of names announcing his ministerial reshuffle by the close of this week.

www.spynewsagency.com has gathered that the release of the list is part of activities mapped out by the President himself to celebrate his one year in office as elected President of Ghana and the Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.

We gathered that the special list was personally prepared by President Mahama while on his recent Christmas Holidays in Dubai.

It was one of the main reasons he took the trip so as to avoid the interference of certain influential figures in the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The few people who have had the opportunity of viewing The special list have described it as a shocker and full of surprises. Sources close to the President say not many would be happy with the list But the President is willing to build a better Ghana and he will use only competent people. He knows 2014 is a serious year and business cannot continue to be as usual.

Hon Clement Kofi Humado, the current Minister for Agriculture is expected to give way for Honourable Sampson Ahi who is currently a deputy Minister at the Works and Housing Ministry. The Minister for local government and Rural Development, Honourable Akwasi Oppong-Fosu is also expected to give way for Eric Opoku, who is currently the Ashanti Regional Minister. It is not clear where they would both be moved to.

Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the current deputy Minister for Education will see his position occupied by Horace Nii Ankra (the UK Ireland chairman of the NDC). Okudzeto is heading back to the Information Ministry to replace Honourable Mutala Mohammed who is also expected to be reassigned.

One shocker on the the special list is Alfred Ogbamey-the editor of the defunct Gye Nyame Concord but currently a social commentator.
Lord Hammah, the brother of Victoria Hammah has also been cited on the list as a deputy Minister.

There has been a serious attempt to reduce the number of government Ministers, as such some of the deputy Ministerial positions would be scrapped leading to the occurrence of many casualties.

A copy of the the special list has allegedly been forwarded to the office of former President Rawlings for his input where necessary.
