President John Dramani Mahama has once again assured that this year�s elections will not be a do or die affair.
He has called on all peace loving people to turn a deaf ear to the war drums being beaten from certain quarters of the political divide.
President Mahama was addressing a rally at Dzolo Kpuita in the Ho West District as part of the Volta Regional tour.
He also assured the people of early completion of the Fume-Ho road which connects the Eastern Corridor road.
He said when the road is completed, it will open up the area to vibrant economic activities.
Radio Ghana�s correspondent reports that the President was received by a crowd that could best be described as exceptional.
Still in the Volta region, President Mahama has indicated moves to raise resources to revamp the juapong Volta Star Textile Limited.
He said government is looking for a strategic partner to invest in the company.
The Volta Star Textile Limited is a major source of employment for the people of Juapong but has in recent times grounded to a halt leaving about 300 people redundant.
The President was addressing a rally at Juapong, in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region.
He also assured the people of the construction of the Dorfor-Marfi-Adidome road.
He said the road construction has been placed under the eastern corridor road project for which funding has already been secured.
The President made whistle stops at Frankadua, Peki Avetile and Kpevi.
At all these places he reiterated government's commitment to bringing development to the people.
