The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth at Sankore are reported to have been fighting each other and firing guns.
The report says the NPP youth complained that the NDC youth have been harassing and bullying them since the 2009 transition, and have therefore decided to react or fight back to prevent the NDC from overcoming them, so that the NPP can enjoy their right as citizens peacefully.

Speaking to Peace FM, the Chief of the area Omanhene Nana Yaw III, confirmed the incident and described it as unfortunate.
He revealed that some of them even objected to his presence when he called them to solve the problem.
He therefore appealed to the police in the area to arrest and punish anybody who misbehaves. According to our reporter, Yaw Kokore Joshua, a doctor at Koso hospital reported that a bullet was fired in the arm of one of the victims, injuring him seriously.
To maintain calm, the police at Sankore have assured the youths of the town that they will work to ensure peace in the area.
