The Member of Parliament(MP) for Dome/Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo stormed Parliament today for the first time, having been absent from the House for several months now.
Her long absence for more than fifteen sitting days from Parliament was referred to the Privileges Committee of Parliament by the Speaker, Rt Hon Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin .
This is after her long absence divided the House, with the Majority interestingly taking the view that the Privileges Committee report recommending her removal should be final.
The Majority is already considering dragging the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to the Supreme Court over his ruling on the Dome-Kwabenya legislator.
Mr Bagbin ruled that the Committee’s report must be placed before the whole House for a decision to be made.
The Dome/Kwabenya MP sat through today's proceedings for just about 15 to 20 minutes before the Speaker, Rt Hon Alban Bagbin adjourned sitting till next week Tuesday.
In an interaction with the Parliamentary Press Corps, Sarah Adjoa Safo briefly said she felt good to be back to continue her duties as a Member of Parliament and hoped the subsequent weeks in the House will be good.
