Former Chairman of the Confiscated Vehicles Allocation Committee (CVAC), Carl Wilson, has dismissed media reports that he has been disqualified from contesting in the forthcoming primaries for the election of a parliamentary candidate to represent the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Weija constituency.
A publication in Mondays edition of The Publisher newspaper claims that Carl Wilson, who went into somehow political hibernation after he was booted out of office after the youth of the NDC besieged the headquarters, has resurfaced with intention to lead the people of Weija Constituency in the region. But his dream is now shattered because his application has not been accepted by the rank and file of NDC.
But in an interview with Suhini Alhassan on Radio Gold, Carl Wilson described the publication as mere falsehood and propaganda. He vehemently denied that that he has been disqualified.
According to him, he went through a successful vetting process and has even been given the nod to campaign, and therefore was pleasantly stunned to see the publication.
Its a big surprise to me; a very big surprise. I went through vetting and everything was successfulthere was nothing to suggest that I was troubled or somebody has anything against me. The same paper has castigated Carl Wilson many times. Mike Dokosi also published untruth about me and castigated me.they put out stories without substantiating them. I am not a vindictive person and when you know you are doing the right thing, you dont have to be afraid, Carl Wilson said.
