The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has assured of adequate deployment of COVID-19 vaccines across the Volta Region in the coming days, denying claims the region has been sidelined.
A statement issued by the GHS said the deployment will be made after the conclusion of training and implementation meetings on Wednesday 25 August.
The Ghana Health Service said it is currently partnering with all stakeholders to implement all available interventions to help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The Volta Region has currently recorded the sixth highest number of cumulative cases in the country after the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Eastern and Central Regions.
