Brother of the 36-year-old man convicted of possessing a gun without licence has revealed that officials of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) had information that his brother was mentally unsound.
According to Kwame Opoku, on Monday, he led the BNI officials to the Tafo Government Hospital where his brother, Charles Antwi, was treated and discharged of the mental condition.
Opoku said in an interview on Joy FM that, he in the company of the BNI officials also went to his hometown in Dadeaso in the Western Region to ascertain the state of mind of his brother.
He said they also visited the Santase taxi rank where Antwi worked as a taxi driver and his colleagues also confirmed that his brother was mentally unstable.
