Three boys have drowned in the Weija river in Accra.
The boys who are between the ages of 12 and 14 according to reports were playing around the river bank when the unfortunate incident happened.
They are Samuel and Kwabena Effa, first year Junior High School students and Eugene Gayo, a class six pupil.
An eyewitness who spoke to Adom News said two of the bodies have been found and rituals are being done to bing back the third one.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Korle Bu hospital morgue for autopsy.
The body of the third boy has been found after hours of search by residents in the area.
Meanwhile Agnes Adubea sister to one of the deceased expressed shock at the sudden demise of her brother.
She explained that they lived far away from the Weija river thus wondered why they came to play in the river.
