The Electricity Company has said that releasing a power rationing ( load-shedding) timetable was impossible at this time, Joy FM reported Monday.
According to report, ECG officials said they were currently shedding between 400 and 600 megawatts of electricity a day, and that the situation was so bad that the power distributor did not know beforehand when to shed 400 or 600 megawatts.
The report added that under the circumstances, a load-shedding timetable would not be credible.
Ghana’s energy crisis has deteriorated in recent times, with the authorities blaming the situation on low water level in the Akosombo dam and lack of gas to power the country’s thermal plants.
