The Ghana Government Pensioners Association is asking Ghanaians
to seize the opportunity of the 54th Republic Day Anniversary to bury
all political differences and turn over a new leaf for a better
economic future for the country.
The association identified among
other things intolerance, economic sabotage and blatant disrespect for
authority and the elderly, as enemies of the country's progress.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by the Associations General Secretary, Emmanuel Ashley encouraged reciprocal respect between the youth and the elderly, majority and minority in governance and the governed and government to help rescue the country from its present economic predicament.
Mr. Ashley on behalf of all pensioners and potential pensioners, wished Ghana a prosperous future Republic Day
Celebrations.
