Despite government�s decision to impose a dawn to dusk curfew on the Bimbila Township, the sporadic sound of guns has refused to die down and as a result, the paramount chief of the area has been killed.
Unconfirmed reports has it that three persons have been shot dead.
A resident of the town reported that he heard sporadic shooting at about 7 pm last night and as late as 10:30 pm, residents could still hear gunshots.
It is still unclear what caused the gun battle but for some time now, Bimbila has witnessed series of chieftaincy clashes.
Government, in a follow up to the news has confirmed in a statement released Friday that one of the three persons shot and killed is paramount chief of the area, Naa Dasana Dawuni.
