Parts of Accra were totally submerged by Friday afternoons less than one hour rainfall.
Friday's heavy downpour which started at around 2:00pm flooded areas such as Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Obetsebi-Lamptey Circle, Kaneshie, Makola, portions of the Graphic Road, and some parts of Accra.
When Peacefmonline.com visited the affected areas, vehicular movement in those areas had been brought to a complete standstill as a result of the flooding; with some residents, pedestrians and motorists marooned and waiting patiently for the floods to subside.
Pedestrians and motorists struggled to navigate the few dry spots and least flooded portions of the road to reach their destinations, while others busily scooped water from their homes and shops.
At the onset of the rains, traders and shoppers around the Kaneshie Market area run for cover while travelers struggled to join the nearest commercial transport Trotro available.
