Six people on Tuesday died on the spot while four others sustained serious injury in a road crash that occurred on the Cape Coast�Assin Foso Highway at about 1630 hours.
Superintendent Paul Aduhene, Central Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service made this known to the Ghana News Agency in Cape Coast.
He said an articulated truck driven by one Abudulai Saddick, 38, was travelling from Obuasi towards Cape Coast whiles a bus being driven by Kofi Ampah, also 38, was moving from Cape Coast towards Assin Foso with passenger on board.
Supt Aduhene said on reaching a section of the road near the Assin Manso Senior High School, the articulated truck veered off its lane and crashed onto the bus killing on the spot six passengers injuring four others.
He said the injured passengers are on admission at the Assin Foso Catholic Hospital with the dead bodies in the morgue of the medical facility awaiting identification and autopsy.
