The Ajumako District magistrate's court presided over by Mr Kwasi Boakye Enimil has remanded Kwame Atta, a taxi driver, into prison custody for driving without licence.
The plea of Atta, aged 20, was not taken and the court ordered him to re-appear on December 10.
Police Chief Inspector Emmanuel Akorli told the court that on November 25 police on duty near Nkwantanum and signalled him to stop but he sped off.
The officer chased him to Ajumako where they found he did not have a driving license and attempted to arrest him but he resisted.
He struggled with the policemen and injured two of them before he was overpowered. GNA
