The Ghana Army in collaboration with the Ghana Navy and Ghana Air Force will be conducting its annual Counter Terrorism Field Training Exercise codenamed EXERCISE EAGLE CLAWS 2023 from Monday 4 to Thursday 7 December 2023.
The theme for the Exercise is Countering Violent Extremism and Terrorism for Sustainable Peace and Development.
The exercise will take place in the northern frontiers of Ghana specifically in the Savanna, Northern, North East, Upper East and Upper West Regions. As a result, the Military and other sister Security Services would be moving their vehicles, equipment and personnel to the general areas of the Exercise.
The Ghana Armed Forces therefore wishes to inform the general public not to panic but cooperate for a smooth and successful conduct of the Exercise. It also wishes to assure the general public of its commitment and readiness to execute its mandate to ensure that the country is peaceful and its citizens are safe always.
