The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has asked the government to convert the National Cathedral project into a hospital.
Addressing the 2023 May Day parade in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region, the Secretary-General of the TUC, Dr Anthony Yaw Baah said converting the national cathedral into a hospital project will better serve Ghanaians than going ahead to build the cathedral.
The TUC also advised the President to reduce the size of government as Ghana was going through economic challenges.
The 2023 May Day parade is on the theme: "Protecting incomes and pensions in an era of economic crisis: Our responsibility"

This is so unfortunate from a workers leader. Is he serious at all?
You are one of the loose talkers, ever since the trade unions were formed in 1941 under the trade ordinance 1941 and all the industrial groupings came together to form the TUC in 1958, show us one single project you have done with the dues paid by workers. Ghana, a small country has more civic, public servants than the UK. I pay TUC dues and the same time pay ICU dues but the same union, look at this extortion yet TUC do not account to the workers. I suggest your organisation 8 storey building should rather be use for hospital for workers. Mr TUC secretary general do not put your feet in the shoes of any political party.
Are you also talking like the NDC on Jubilee House? Wait for your disgrace!
