Private legal practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has called on former President Jerry John Rawlings to desist from wading into the controversial ‘sex for grades’ discourse.
His comment comes after the former military ruler expressed outrage over “sex for grades” and wondering why people can put others through such humiliating moment.
He described the phenomenon as incomparably bad, corrupt and corrupting and one destroying the fiber of society.
“Not only are such brilliant girls getting unfair deals, but apparently sometimes the dumb ones get upgraded with that first and second honours or whatever it is when everybody knows they are not worth it,” he said during a meeting with some legal practitioners.
But Maurice Ampaw who was speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ asked the former President to ‘shut up’.
