Custodians from four communities in the Eastern region; Adoagyiri, Owuraku, Ntoaso and Akwamu are holding a demonstration in protest of purported sale of their lands by former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
The protesters are presenting a petition to government through the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly to stop Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings from ceding their over 700 acre land to a private developer.
The said land was acquired by government to grow pineapples to feed the Nsawam canary when it was established.

the sale of the lands must be stop immediately except when the purpose of the sale is to plant and produce pineapples. it is a shame that you purchase the property and at a knock down price whilst your husband killed Ghanaians for having 2 toilets in their homes. today, how many toilets do you have in your house and how many houses do you have? it is really a shame.
