The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has invited Raymond Amanfu, former Head of Banking Supervision of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), to report himself on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10:00 am.
The invitation did not explain why he is being invited, but DAILY GUIDE gathered that it may not be unconnected with the banks and other financial institutions that have collapsed.
The banking supervision department of BoG under Raymond Amanfu – who has retired – had been blamed for the mess in the banking sector because it failed to do its job diligently.
There were speculations that staff of that department were compromised by the various financial institutions, leading to dereliction of duties.
