Former President, John Dramani Mahama has congratulated farmers and all hard working professionals who offer technical support to them.
In a FACEBOOK post, he asked Ghanaians to remind themselves of the difficulties they confront everyday in order to provide food for the Nation and also contribute to the country's foreign exchange earnings.
The former president also touted some achievements under his tenure in the Agriculture sector.
"My administration started working on addressing issues of access to Finance and Mechanized Equipment, to help boost productivity and profits. We reinvigorated the Agricultural Mechanization Centres and launched a Farmer Services Centre Programme, that was going to make available affordable and modern equipment to all farmers across the country.
"Funding under the EDAIF was scaled up, and distribution of inputs prioritized. A decent number of fish storage and processing facilities were provided and we also sourced critical funding from Canada, which is financing key programmes in the Agricultural sector today.
"We also initiated a Programme to attract more of our youth into farming and I am happy that the results have began to show," he wrote.

Congratulations to all our farmers and fisher folk across the country.
In celebrating our farmers today, let us also remind ourselves of the difficulties they confront in order to provide food for the nation and contribute to our foreign exchange earnings.

I salute all farmers including our Cocoa farmers, fishers, those in animal husbandry and the hardworking professionals who offer technical support to them.
Congratulations once again and a happy Farmers Day to us all.

So farmers' day has now become the occasion for Mahama to tout his achievements? Meanwhile all his claims are also FALSE! Seriously, the ex-president is really desperate to make himself relevant again. I sometimes feel sorry for him. Let him continue to act the MOVIE STAR which earned him that classic defeat. Pathetic loser!
mahama, YOU'RE AS E*DIOT AS YOUR FATHER IN DR.NKRUMAH'S REGIME. KEEP MUTE SIL*LY MAN!!
Every little opportunity Mahama will get, he will campaign. He can't even wait for his party's primaries. What a greedy! State of the nation on Agriculture address by Mahama. Lol
This mahama is not a serious guy. he thinks politics is for jokers. what achievement did you record in the agriculture sector. anything you did as a president was to enrich yourself, family members and cronies. you better sit back and allow sensible people to rule the country. you and your party deception has been documented in Ghana. the lies, the fabricated stories and propaganda will not take you anywhere. the ID card system is going to eliminate the ghost names electoral commission have been inserting in the voters register so you will no more get the opportunity to rig again.
"We also initiated a programme to attract more of our youth into farming..." Which programme was that? If you had a programme like that, you would not have used all that money to brand buses. This Mahama guy is just becoming an irrit@nt.
this guy is only good at deception, what was agric contribution to GDP during your term of office you are just a rotten tomato which has no value
Corruption was your achievement man
WHY MAHAMA WANT TO BECOME PRESIDENT AGAIN? HE MUST GO BACK AND JOIN THE CUE AND WAIT FOR ALL THE 28 MILLION GHANAIANS FIRST. ONAAAAPO.
FOoooo000lish man. Just stop talking. If you did so well, the people themselves will talk about it, not you. The fact that YOU are saying these things mean that the people did not feel any impact of your policies
Manama is so greedy than the word greedy so he is going to campaign on his failed works. Wait after your appointees are hailed you will undertsnad that your administration was the poorest and most corrupt in the history of Ghana
